05/09/2008: If you're in the your first year of nursing school, you need this book! If you are a nursing lab instructor you will find this book extremely helpful in promoting/teaching good clinical skills. Detailed procedures are organized in specific skills categories. Each skill is clearly listed, in step-by-step format, complete with rationals. Pictures / diagrams are clear and concise, and serve to enhance understanding. The online support beautifully backs up what the book portrays, with specific readings for each skill, organized systematic skills lists, which are modifiable to suit different curriculum needs, NCLEX style questions, and video clips. A perfect reference tool, which also doubles as a study guide for those test questions which ask 'What would the Nurse assess first?' or, 'What is the primary nursing intervention?'.
