10/07/2009: I wish I had read this book when I first became a Vegetarian (6 mos ago) instead of waiting. Although the book's organization does need work, the book has all of the information you need to know when you are first starting out. It also points to additional resources you need to read as well.

01/17/2007: I recommend this book to anyone seeking better health. This book is easy to understand and follow. It is loaded with useful information about vitamins & minerals, our body requirements at different walks of life & what foods will provide the nutrition & in what amounts. Needless to say, the authors have done a fine job in outlining the vegetarian diet and the kinds of things which need to be paid extra attention to such as proper intakes of B12, DHA & other fatty acids. It also provides different chapters with regards to the certain age groups and special circumstances such as being pregnat or lactating, infants & seniors. This book also covers the myths that are all too common with becomig a vegetarian. I truly felt confident becoming a vegetarian after reading this book, knowing that I won't have issues with malnutrition. I cannot recommed this book enough. It truly is a very good source of nutrition information if nothing else.
