    Biography

    Tony Attwood is a practicing clinical psychologist with more than 25 years' experience. He has worked with over 2000 individuals of all ages with Asperger's syndrome. He presents workshops and runs training courses for parents, professionals and individuals with AS all over the world and is a prolific author of articles and books on the subject.

    Temple Grandin earned her Ph.D. in animal science from the University of Illinois, went on to become an associate professor at Colorado State University, and wrote two books on autism, including the seminal "Thinking in Pictures." One of the most celebrated -- and effective -- animal advocates on the planet, Grandin revolutionized animal movement systems and spearheaded reform of the quality of life for the world's agricultural animals.

    Teresa Bolick, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who specializes in autism spectrum disorders. She received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Emory University. Dr. Bolick is a consultant to schools and maintains a private practice in Nashua, New Hampshire. She lives in Massachusetts with her family.

    06/19/2007: What a brilliant and insightful work. I can't tell you how much this book has helped in dealing with my daughter that was diagnosed with Asperger's. When to help and when to step back have always been issues with me. I can say that after reading this book, it has answered many of my questions.
