Dragon loves spooky Halloweens! But when he buys six small pumpkins that his friends tell him will never be scary, Dragon must come up with creative ways to make this Halloween just perfect. Dragon's antics are endearing and silly, and Dav Pilkey's sweet illustrations will have readers laughing aloud and reaching for this story every Halloween.
Dragon has a busy and fun-filled Halloween, turning six small pumpkins into one big jack-o-lantern, going to a costume party, and taking a spooky walk in the woods.
In these Halloween-themed episodes, "bright blue Dragon never disappoints," wrote PW in a starred review. "The series hero is affability incarnate." Ages 4-8. (Sept.) Copyright 2003 Reed Business Information.

06/29/2009: My 5 year old son loves this series and the Halloween story is one of his favorites! Dragon is just as lovable as in the others, and there are laugh out loud moments!

09/12/2008: This book is GREAT and my 4 year old loves it and we laugh and laugh whenever we read it. I would have gave it 5 stars but the one thing I don't like is the author uses the word 'stupid'. Which I really don't think is appropriate for kids to say... I just leave that word out when I read it, it's a really great book and the illustrations are fantastic...
