06/17/2005: I purchased Carla's 'Sams Teach Yourself Adobe Photoshop 6 in 24 Hours' when I first got the software. I only got to hour two of that book. Yes, I am the world's top procrastinator, so it had nothing to do with the book. I?ve upgraded Photoshop, so out I go to purchase a book. And without hesitation, I will again buy Ms. Rose?s book.

11/13/2003: In all honesty, I am the author of this book, so my opinion may be a little bit slanted. However, I started explaining Photoshop for smart people who just didn't know how to use it (as opposed to dummies, total idiots and dweebs) way back with version 4. Well, after all those edits and changes I've finally, truly gotten it right. I am as proud of this book as I am of my kids, and that's going pretty far. This is the one you need if you're just starting out. I'll walk you through the hard parts, explaining why -- as well as how -- you do things in Photoshop. You will learn, and you will have fun. That I promise.
