12/01/2009: The novel, The Shack, by WM. Paul Young is an incredible story of love and faith. This book emits warmth and wraps God's invisible arms of love throughout each and every page. Faith and forgiveness play a huge theme in the novel, and it is a beautiful story about God's grace and forgiveness through times good, and bad. Mackenzie Phillips is a man with a faith that is slowly fading, an unforgettable childhood, and a busy family. To take a break from it all, Mackenzie and his kids go out camping for Labor Day weekend. While on their vacation, Mack's young daughter Missy disappears. Missy's probability for a safe return home becomes shattered when there is evidence found that she was murdered violently. Mack's faith also becomes shattered during this terrible time. When Mack gets a note from somebody who is supposedly God, he decides to investigate. What he discovers is far beyond his wildest dreams; he finds the beauty of forgiveness and grace. I fell in love with this book immediately. It touched my heart, and helped me to better understand my faith and beliefs. It put difficult concepts of Christianity into understandable terms, and made God feel more like somebody whom I could be close to, even when he is not there in humanly form. I found I could relate this novel to my personal faith, and that alone made me fall in love with it even more. I believe that everybody should read this book, because Christian or not, this book is a rare book that you can truly relate to any persons life. Even those who are not Christ believers will love it, because it is a book of forgiveness. We can all remember the times when we are in difficult situations, and forgiveness seems long gone. This book will help you to understand your anger, and search for forgiveness within yourself. You will find yourself relating to Mack, and his hardship and struggle, his faults are a great reminder of our own. In the end, it all comes down to the peace and comfort of love and forgiveness. This is a wonderful read, that displays a warm message, and I would, without a second thought, recommend it for all!

11/30/2009: This book puts into words some of my religious beliefs that I myself have had trouble to state. I borrowed this book from the library, and now I'm purchasing one for myself and several other copies for family and friends.
This author's faith and ability to put into words the infinite love of God in a modern, and up todate fashion was fantastic.I Also Recommend: The 8th Confession (Women's Murder Club Series #8), The Lovely Bones, The Clique (Clique Series #1), The Giver, Many Lives, Many Masters.
