07/21/2001: I read this book with great interest. It is an excellent book with profound implications. While researching for information on psychological wholeness, healing, happiness, and 'affirmation' (see works by Dr. Conrad Baars & Dr. Anna Terruwe) I came across this book. I recommend incorporating the information in this book with information in the books listed below for real 'psychological wholeness.' 05/15/2000: I enjoyed reading this book called Touching:The Human Significance of the Skin. I had to do an assignment on my career Dermatology and this novel gave me tons of insight. Just flipping through the pages will make your mind soar. It contains tons of info about skin. You should read this novel if you are interested in a career of Dermatology or if you just like to read.
