Comments from the Seller: 2008 Hardcover Acceptable in Acceptable jacket It is a shame to have to tell you this but 4 of my pages experienced light moisture so they have a light ripple to them, but beyond this fact you will find that the rest of my internals are free of any form of marking, soiling or previous dog eared pages. My binding remains nice and snug, spine undamaged, and my dust jacket is clean and bright free of any real wear. I make for a clean, snug, and sturdy reading copy. The choice of standard shipping is via USPS media mail and can take up to 21.

Potholders are perfect canvases for showcasing fabulous fabric, using simple embellishments, and trying out novel ideas—as these charming, nostalgic projects prove! They’re easy, beautiful, and great for anyone looking to stitch something small but wonderful. All that’s needed are basic hand or machine sewing skills to complete a darling butterfly-shaped potholder with rickrack antennae. A playful oven mitt, in bright red with embroidered flames, sports the word “caliente!” to remind the wearer to be careful. An introduction presents the vast range of textiles and embellishments available, and beginners will get the lowdown on batting options and guidelines for what makes a successful, functional potholder. All projects are showcased with full-color, close-up photography, and with any necessary templates and patterns.

02/23/2009: This is a nice little book to have in your sewing/gifts/special occasion library. The projects are great for beginner sewers (and experienced) - they provide creative inspiration and color combinations.
These potholders are also a great way to use up some of your fabric scraps - the designs and colors co-mingle nicely.
