Biography

Carolyn Patten was born in California and had a rolling stone childhood, living in eight other states before landing in Palm Springs in 1989. In her work as managing editor of Palm Springs Life Magazine, director of public relations for the Ritz-Carlton, and tourism p.r. director for Palm Springs, she has made a career of knowing the desert inside and out. She works as a freelance writer, editor, and public relations consultant, with clients in Portland, Oregon, and Palm Springs.
