11/21/2009: As a dog's owner, I found few informative facts about some manifestation of distress by my two rescue-dogs. It helped me to understand and eventually trust the diagnosis by my veterinarian--who happened to be my daughter--. You need to have some medical understanding in order to benefit from the information. I do believe that having it in one's library is comforting indeed; Just like Dr. Spock for parents with young children. Nevertheless, don't dare be your own vet; you must have a competent veterinarian

09/25/2009: I thought that this book was utter rubbish. It had outdated information,

for instance, on kitten care and at that only a few sentences. If you

just want to read very short, outdated blurbs about everything under the sun though, this book is for you. Very disappointing book. What

    were they thinking writing this?
