11/21/2009: As a dog's owner, I found few informative facts about some manifestation of distress by my two rescue-dogs. It helped me to understand and eventually trust the diagnosis by my veterinarian--who happened to be my daughter--. You need to have some medical understanding in order to benefit from the information. I do believe that having it in one's library is comforting indeed; Just like Dr. Spock for parents with young children. Nevertheless, don't dare be your own vet; you must have a competent veterinarian

09/25/2009: I thought that this book was utter rubbish. It had outdated information,
for instance, on kitten care and at that only a few sentences. If youjust want to read very short, outdated blurbs about everything under the sun though, this book is for you. Very disappointing book. Whatwere they thinking writing this?
