We all dream of the forbidden but some of us make those dreams come true . . . .
With the same mystery, menace and intensity as her Vampire books, Exit to Eden explores the forbidden by taking us The Club, a vacation paradise where no aspect of sexual pleasure is taboo. Just as The Story of O shocked the Sixties by speaking about what had only been whispered, Exit to Eden gives voices to the sexual secrets of the Eighties.
Lisa--the perfectionist--is a stunning, mysterious, and fearless sexual adventurer. She is founder and supreme mistress of The Club--an exclusive island resort where forbidden fantasy meets willing flesh. Elliott is a thrill-seeking photographer who has risked his life in war zones around the world and now seeks the ultimate rush--exploring his darkest sexual self. Join them on a journey to the limits of erotic pleasure and beyond.

09/26/2008: This is not my first book from Anne Rice, but it is the first book I was disappointed in. Knowing some of the BDSM lifestyle I found the character of Lisa to be very disappointing and weak. She showed no back bone when dealing with Elliott. I understand that Anne Rice was trying to set up a dramatic love story but using a sex club as a back drop when one of the characters is supposed to be a dominant female and the other a submissive male, just didn't come across in the book. I actually didn't finish the book since everytime I started to read it I got so mad at the way the characters were portrayed that I would put it back down. Truly a let down in what could have been a great book. Don't bother reading it unless you are willing to be unfulfilled by the characters.
