05/18/2006: I'm not a history buff, nor did I know much of anything about the Roosevelt's before reading this book. I wanted to know more about the great humanitarian I read so many essays on. The book is long but captivating. And I appreciate a book that can last me over a week. Definitly a great autobiography by a great woman!!! Buy it now!

01/13/2001: This intriguing book has all the facts about Eleanor Roosevelt, but is shorter than the biography by Blanche Weisen Cook. She starts from her childhood and throughtout most of her life. Not only is this book about her and her life but her family's life was well. It is interesting to read as well as informative on a historical prespective.
