12/10/1999: In Treatise on Law, Aquinas lays out his belief that all laws come from some higher power. Moral absolutes lead to moral laws that all should abide by. Using wonderful objections and answers to those objections, Aquinas lays down the ideas of human, natural, divine, and eternal laws and how they relate to one another. This book tries to answer the age-old question of whether laws are objective or subjective. A hard read, but well worth it.
