05/02/2009: I was given several old buffalo head nickels and lady liberty dimes, as well as half dollars. Some are very old, dating to the late 1800's. This book helped me some to determine value but I also found it to have a confusing key system. I am glad it had pictures to show what the coins looked like for the particular mint period. I am still on the look out for a less intensive, less complicated book to help me determine worth of my coins. There is apparently a price range where coins fall into according to the mint years and I was expecting a concrete price indicator.
