    Synopsis

A Jenkins Group study revealed that 81 percent of Americans feel they have a book inside them, while 6 million have actually completed a manuscript.

Features first hand accounts of 70 authors who launched a successful career.

Features the 10 absolute rules to follow to get published.

The one thing writers all ignore is the one thing they need most: Inspiration. And let's face it, writers thrive on dreams. How I Got Published provides compelling success stories of how many writer-heroes got published, stories that will help readers persevere until they succeed. Writing is a lonely occupation where rejection is the norm, and this book details the early hardships authors like Stephen King, David Morrell, and Stephen White went through in order to reassure writers that they can get to the finish line if they keep trying. How I Got Published features publishing stories from major writers, tales from the authors' own publishing adventures, and technical instruction on following the rules of writing and getting published.

03/06/2009: After reading several entries, I came across a short snip-it of information about my favorite author. While I was researching several items from the book, I was led to other more valuable information, that has been bery instrumental in beginning my journey towards being published. As this was my beginning, it has become an invaluable resource for future endeavors. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be a published author.
