11/18/2009: Informative and inspiring! I read it, and its sequel, Letters From Women Who Love Too Much, approximately 25 years ago. These two books helped me thoroughly understand why I always ended up in lousy relationships with my heart broken. They helped me straighten out my life.

Married 19 years now in a loving, stable relationship, I consider Women Who Love Too Much and Letters From Women Who Love Too Much, to be the most significant books of my life--because what I didn't "get" back then was that it wasn't important for me to understand the type of man I was attracting. Rather, it was critical that I understand WHY I WAS ATTRACTED to that type of man. The key had been with me the whole time. And it was a thorough understanding of this that gave me the ability to stop the merry-to-round.

I can't recommend these books highly enough to women who find that they end up too often with men who somehow turn out to be disappointing--who turn out not to be good choices.
