02/19/2009: I first got this book five years ago, and I still use it even today. Spanish was my second language, which paved the foundation towards my learning of the other Romance languages. Spanish is one of the only two languages that I ever studied in school (along with French), and it was this book that made it all possible. I believe if there was a better Spanish-English dictionary to be had, I would've found it by now.

08/27/2008: If you?re going to learn Latin American Spanish, the product to buy is Learning Spanish Like Crazy. If you want a great Spanish-English dictionary that has a great coverage of Latin American vocabulary, Merriam-Webster?s is the way to go. The hardback version is more comprehensive, but this one is small enough for travel which is why I bought it. Plus, it has a pronunciation guide for whenever I get stumped. They didn?t leave much out here in order to conserve space. You?ll still find verb conjugations, synonyms, idioms and all the other usuals. And it only cost be 6 bucks. You can?t beat that price.
