Biography
Mercer Mayer has been writing and illustrating books for children for more than forty years. His most recognized character, the lovable and charismatic Little Critter®, was born in 1975 in the book Just for You. Mercer's Little Critter has since starred in more than two hundred books and sold over one hundred and fifty million copies. Born in Arkansas, Mercer now lives in Connecticut with his family.

03/17/2008: We received this book as a gift when my son was less than a year old. It is now in pieces - we read this book so much that it has fallen apart! Everytime he would see the book he would bring it to us to read. He even was trying to say 'Happy Halloween Little Critter' just like in the book - and he was only 11 months old!
