05/14/2006: The beautiful illustrations in this book tell more of the story then the simple and only words of have you seen my duckling. Young children not yet reading can easily tell the story of the little duckling who has strayed from his mother by using the illustrations. This book is also a wonderful book to use with very beginning readers in that it gives them confidence and early reading success in the repetitive nature of the text.
