    Synopsis

Sheila Rae, the memorable mouse and big sister supreme from the best-selling hardcover Sheila Rae, the Brave, makes her board book debut in this merry story about sibling rivalry. Sheila Rae has a peppermint stick that's long and thin and oh-so-tantalizing to little sister Louise. Will Sheila Rae let Louise have a lick . . . or two . . . or three, or will she tease her with a game of candy keep-away? A delectable offering from Caldecott Honor winner Kevin Henkes. Sharing never tasted so good!

    Annotation

Louise wants a taste of her sister's peppermint stick, but Sheila Rae will not make it easy for her.

    Publishers Weekly

In his first board-book format, Kevin Henkes brings the star of Sheila Rae, the Brave back in Sheila Rae's Peppermint Stick. Here, the familiar theme of sibling rivalry surfaces between the heroine and her younger sister, Louise. As one might suspect, Sheila Rae meets her comeuppance, and in the end, all is well. (Aug.)
