    01/05/2009: I purchased this book with the intent to learn some new makeup tricks and create different and dramatic looks. The cover is beautiful but once inside, I realized that this book is more for teenagers (I myself am in my 30's). It does cover the basics but a lot of the looks are not for older women (20's and up). A lot of the colors they use are not for everyday and seem to be more for teenagers trying to make a statement. I didn't realize how important photography is in a makeup book and the photos here are not flattering. If you are a woman in her twenties and want to explore new and creative looks with a basic approach to technique, then this book is not for you. Bobbi Brown's Makeup Manual is definitely the way to go. Save this one for your teenage daughter or sister.
