Morgan le Fay will make Jack and Annie masters of the tree house if only they can solve four riddles -- which will take four books, of course! Dolphins at Daybreak begins the third set of four books in this magical (and increasingly popular) series! Jack and Annie are off in the Magic Tree House again, this time to a whole new world under the ocean. Complete with a giant octopus, a hungry shark, and dolphins to the rescue, this Magic Tree House book delivers an underwater adventure kids can dream about.
Their magic tree house takes Jack and Annie deep into the sea, where they meet up with dolphins, sharks, and octopi as they search for the answer to an ancient riddle.
More Reviews and RecommendationsMary Pope Osborne grew up in the military, and by the time she was fifteen had lived in Oklahoma, Austria, Florida and four different army posts in Virginia and North Carolina. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the early 1970's, Mary traveled all over Europe, and spent the first six weeks of her trip living in a cave on the island of Crete. She then joined up with a group of European young people and traveled in rickety vans through sixteen Asian countries, including Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal. She was a bartender, an acting teacher, a waitress, a travel agent, a window dresser, and a medical assistant -- all before becoming an author! Now she is the author of many highly acclaimed picture books, early chapter books, middle-grade biographies, and young adult novels. In February 1993, Mary was elected the 27th president of the Author's Guild, the oldest, most established organization for writers in the United States.
Mary her husband Will spilt their time between an apartment in Greenwich Village, New York and a cabin in Pennsylvania. They own a terrier named Bailey, who sleeps on the top of Mary's desk every day while she writes!

05/15/2009: Mary Pope Osborne's book Dolphins at Daybreak is a great book. Jack and Annie get called to the treehouse and have to figure out a riddle. They go to the beach and find a submarine ,they climb in and turn it on. Then an octopus gets them and gets scared by a shark. Then they find a leak and one other leak, so they climb out and swim toward shore and then the dolphins help them swim toward shore and they figure out the riddle. This is a wonderful book for children and adults.
I suggest this book for 4th and 5th graders. This is a wonderful author and her imagination goes wild. Everytime I read these books I don't want to put it down. These books have wonderful science and social studies facts. When ever you have free time go to the library and get Magic Tree House books by Mary Pope Osborne and you'll have a blast of fun in your mind. These are the best books; keep writing more books Mary Pope Osborne!BY : LeahReader Rating:
