    PREMIUM MASS MARKET EDITION

#1 Worldwide Bestseller—More Than 80 Million Copies Sold

As millions of readers around the globe have already discovered, The Da Vinci Code is a reading experience unlike any other. Simultaneously lightning-paced, intelligent, and intricately layered with remarkable research and detail, Dan Brown's novel is a thrilling masterpiece—from its opening pages to its stunning conclusion.

The Washington Post - Patrick Anderson

Brown keeps the pace fast, the puzzles that lead to the Grail are exceedingly clever, and there is a flurry of surprises and betrayals before the mystery is finally solved. Whatever the reader makes of the religious theories put forth, Brown has a great deal of interest to say about the early days of Christianity, the influence of pagan religions on it and the legend of the Grail. He says the revelations about Jesus — not to be revealed here — have been whispered about for centuries, but have never overcome the opposition of organized Christianity. How much of this is fact and how much is fiction? Read the book and make up your own mind.

12/04/2009: this book has such a compelling and interesting plot line. i am very surprise that i put it down so many times. i did see the movie of this book before i read the book. but it had no effect on the genuine quality of the book. the climax ids hard to find do to the fact that it is such an exciting story. the way it drifts off from the normal view of religion and how such a "perfect" group can stray away from the norms of its very own society. the book chases after a huge catholic church concept of the holy grail. when the plot is being unfolded the church tries to stop this conspiracy from unfolding. the many twists and turns helped me get through this book very quickly. the history is accurate which makes this book so compelling because the fact that this could actually happened. the solving of all the of the mysteries is very compelling to me as well. the fact that i didn't know what was coming next kept me reading for hours at a time. i highly suggest this book to any reader regardless of your religious bias, it is fiction right??

12/04/2009: I really like this book and it's many ways to keep you from putting it down. The thing I liked most about this book was that there were so many unexpected twists to the story you could never predict what would come next, all of the betrayal and secret identities of people made it so you couldn't guess anyone's next move. I was surprised at how much research must have been done to make this story, the way they explain their thoughts throughout the book makes you believe it's real, plus every puzzle Dan Brown throws in makes the end discovery tie together. This book is probably directed towards an older generation of readers and to readers looking for a good mystery with dramatic action. There isn't really anything I didn't like about the book it was an amazing story that keeps you on your feet.
