Used & Out of Print Return Policy

Barnes & Noble BookQuest is a service that lets independent book dealers sell their used books to Barnes & Noble.com customers. These books are shipped directly from the dealer to the customer. If a return is necessary, the customer must ship the book back to the dealer. Returns for refunds or credits should not be sent to Barnes & Noble.com or brought to a Barnes & Noble retail store.
 
In order to receive your refund:
Each used book purchased on Barnes & Noble.com and sent to you from one of our approved dealers will come with a packing slip. This piece of paper will have the address of the dealer on it and instructions on how to return the package. To return an item, simply complete the Reason for Return section of the packing slip, include the slip with the item you are returning, and mail it to the dealer's address.
 
We'll refund your purchase if you:
Return the book in the same condition in which you received it.
Include the packing slip with the Reason for Return section completed.
Return the book within 30 days of the shipment date.
Note:
We will credit your account once the dealer has acknowledged receipt of your returned item.
Shipping charges are not refundable.
Returns will be refunded in the form of the original payment method.
