In 1999, he launched his own series of amusing, practical, and user-friendly computer books called Missing Manuals, which now includes 100 titles.

He is also an Emmy award-winning tech correspondent for CBS News, and he appears each week on CNBC with his trademark comic tech videos.     November 11, 2009: I am really slow with techi type of things but love to learn. This manual makes it easy to understand the inner workings of the iPhone. This is great for the novice and more advanced.
