    Synopsis

This New York Times “Notable Book of the Year” is the definitive biography on Che Guevara, whose epic dream was to end poverty and injustice in Latin America through armed revolution. Anderson’s biography traces Che’s extraordinary life, from his comfortable Argentine upbringing to the Cuban revolution, from the halls of power in Castro’s government to his failed campaign in the Congo and assassination in the Bolivian jungle.

    Boston Globe

An enduring achievement. It is hard to imagine that any [other biography] will match the volume and detail of the research here.

December 31, 2008: There aren't words to even BEGIN to describe how great this book is! I was a little skeptical when I bought it because of its size, but once I started reading it, I couldn't get enough of it! After reading this book, I no longer look at communism the same way. How Jon Anderson can grab someone with this book and reel them in is astounding, and I know everyone who reads this book feels the same. DEFINITELY a MUST-read!
