In the fourth novel in the Celtic-inspired Witches of Eileanan series, a young girl comes of age-and discovers her abilities when she is called to aid her kingdom.
Praise for The Witches of Eileanan:
More depth and imagination than others in this field ...a rich tapestry of settings, creatures, and people...I'd encourage you to read [it]. (Australian SF Online)
Quite original, with unexpected depths and plenty of fun...a strong novel. (Locus)
Forsyth spices up a suitably complex power struggle with vividly depicted imagery and a worthy heroine...a most interesting fantasy series. (Romantic Times)
Excellent...I was impressed by Forsyth's command of the language and her ability to create such a detailed world...had me absorbed in the end. (The SF Site)

September 19, 2005: This book is actually really cool. Finn, the main character, starts off in the League of the Healing Hand (which is not talked in depth) helping Lachlan the Righ. When the war before hand was finally over Finn is actually the Banprisonna of Rurach. (this is where the book starts). Finn loves adventure and hates the royalty life, so she constantly does these tomboyish things, which the mother, Lady Gywenth, does not like. The story finally changes when the jounglers come into town...

November 03, 2001: As always Kate Forsyth has created a new book that awed me with amaziment. The vived images that awaken through this tale are somthing that will stay with me. For those of use who read the first 3 books of the series, ( I recomend that they are read first ) I think we all agree that this is a wonderfull addition. Just as the auther says we all can't wait for The Skull of the Worled ( The next book of the series ) to hit the shelf. I cant wait to hear all about Isabeaus new adventures!!!
