    Synopsis

The eagerly anticipated sequel to the astounding smash hit Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is finally here! No need to wait — Harry's back for his second year at Hogwarts, where the infamous Chamber of Secrets has been opened for the first time in 50 years. The monster that is unleashed is literally petrifying Hogwarts students (turning them into stone, that is), and who is the primary suspect? Harry Potter himself. Add to this some enormous spiders, a Deathday Party, a ghost named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls' bathroom, and lots and lots of suspense, and you'll soon find yourself engrossed in another terrific tale in which magic does exist and good eventually triumphs over evil.

    Annotation

When the Chamber of Secrets is opened again at the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, second-year student Harry Potter finds himself in danger from a dark power that has once more been released on the school.

    Children's Literature

In this eagerly awaited sequel to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter returns for his second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry after surviving a dreadful summer with his muggle/human relatives the Dursleys. Harry, along with his friends Ron and Hermione, confronts another mystery involving an evil force emanating from a chamber of secrets below the school. Clues include a flying car, a book written in invisible ink that takes Harry into the past, and a ghost in a bathroom. To solve the mystery and save the school from closure and Hagrid from jail, Harry must confront his long feared nemesis Voldemort. Children and adults alike will revel in this splendid continuation of Harry Potter's adventures.

November 10, 2009: If you need a little bit of magic and amusement in your life the chamber of secrets is for you. The main character is harry potter and he is famous at his school and comminty for escaping one of the scariest villians known to wizards. The book is fictional but is very good to read because it keeps you wanting to read more to see what will happen next and to see who did what. Harry potter was keep getting blamed for alot of mishaps and murders threw out the book but he did not give up he was trying to firgure out who and what was really behind the whole thing. The authors purpose is to have alittle fun and have your imagination flying i liked the book alot and would tell people to read it its farley easy to read and it goes with the flow i liked all the action but it could improve by cutting some things out of the book so it wouldnt be so long.
