March 13, 2008: 'This book is worthwhile, however, if you wish to understand it totally, you need to buy the book bioscientific terminology by Donald.A.Ayers-if you wish to understand the grammar behind the roots, prefixes, and suffixes that are used to construct the words. This book is a worthwhile little dictionary, that provides the user with the common roots from greek and latin, and there is a useful index of the transliteration from straight greek to english. I would wholeheartedly reccomend this book however, remember that you should take the advice I have given previously.. 'This book is a good reference book'it needs another to fully do it the justice that it deserves.'

July 04, 2006: I share this book with my students in high school science class and will promote it every chance I get. It is the most valuable book I have ever used. When I was going to school, it was the secret to saving many hours of studying. It is pretty easy to point out the erythrocyte if you know it means 'red cell' and leukocyte if you know leuko means 'white.' It helps struggling readers to overcome really big and complex looking words. All big words are just little words strung together!! Learn a few hundred little words and you can master a hundred thousand big words!! What a great return on investment!!!
