August 05, 2005: Half of this book is an encyclopedia of the different strains. It tells you whether they are better under sun or artificial lights. It lets you know when each strain harvests, how much to expect, what kind of effects each has and many other important details you can't find anywhere else. At least not in one book. This book has amazing pictures. The other half of the book has interviews with breeders, advice on how to grow, pictures of huge gardens and many other tidbits. The only grip I had was it didnt have some of the more popular varieties that I would expect it to include.

January 05, 2004: Instead of an ongoing story, this book is a delicious full-color mix and match about 100 different varieties. Nearly every page is its own thing. Everytime I look through it, I find something new that I didn't notice before. I like the little stories that are tucked in around the strains. The way the same information on each variety is a really useful comparison. Plus it tells you different things about each strain so that you can choose your ideal. It's like a wish book for tokers.
