November 18, 2009: I have to say i enjoyed the series. When i heard about the movie in '08, I thought to my self "I have to go see that movie." But i didn't get the chance to see it until the DVD was realeased and I watched it with my friends. Say what you will, but I found the movie pretty lame and it didn't live up to be what I expected it to be.

After that i decided that I wanted to read the books to compare the differences and trust me there was a whole lot of them. (Catherine Hardwick did an "iffy" job with the film.) When i read "twilight" I pictured something else then what was in the book. (When Bella shares her theory about Edward being a vampire and the "Bloodtype" the chapter.)

New Moon was probably my favorite out of all the series. why you ask. The answer is simple: Edward left. I know it sonds messed up this helped build the suspense in the series and plus I have a hard time understanding his charecter. It showed more of Jacob (wich i enjoed a lot. GO TEAm JACOB!!!) and the conflict between the Cullens and the Quilette tribe (hope i spelled it right.) Also, the Volturi were intrduced and when they where I knew that it was going to be trouble from there on out.

Eclipse was probably the book that I have to re-read the most (Seriously, I read it over about 5 times and I still feel "iffy" about the plot.) What I remeber the most was the constant conflict between Edward and Jacob, Rosalie's story, Jasper's story, victoria and her army of vampires, Riley in Bella's room, Bella's graduation, and Bella's choice at the end of the book. Oh, yeah, and Jacob rnning away at the epilouge of the book.

Breaking Dawn was amazing... until the end of the book. I really appreciated that Stephanie found a happy ending for everyone (well, almost everyone,) that Bella and Edward got married, She had a part of the book be through the Jacob's perspective, the different vampires that came along to help, the preganancy idea and that Bella was turned into a vampire (which is what i wanted since the begging of the series.) However, I didn't like that she built this suspense since the begging of the series to for a battle that didn't happen. I was expacting a showdown where Bella's side (all the other vampires and werewolves) fought the Volturi and their guard and the ourcomes would be sad here and their. I was sadly decived. It was an excellent end to the series for others but not for me.

Breaking Dawn still has a bit of loose ends: What will the Volturi do now that they were defeated? Will the other vampires be attacked because of what had happened? Will Jacob and Reneesme ever marry? Will the Volturi ever be taken down? I wold like for Stephanie (if she could write a sequal to Breaking Dawn) cold forward 50 years later and answer these question not just for me but for all the fans.

Overall, the series was pretty great and I loved that I was introduced to a new world but I wont be like those obsessed fans that spend their life dwelling on the sereis, even though it was good.

I Also Recommend: House of Night Boxed Set, Hunted (House of Night Series #5), Tempted (House of Night Series #6), Harry Potter Paperback Boxed Set (Books 1-7).

November 16, 2009: Ok, Twilight will never be considered great literature. But sometimes we all need a little mind candy, right?

Twilight is the perfect series for a long flight or car ride, vacation/beach read, or just a dreary day. It's just so easy to get absorbed in the story. They're all very quick to read, despite the length. I averaged 75-100 pages per hour.

My only warning is, each book in the series is a little worse than the nexts. Twilight made me want to stay up all night reading. New Moon...I enjoyed getting to know Jacob but it was mostly, "Ok, when's Edward going to show up already so stuff can happen?" Eclipse suffers from the problems so common to middle books...it reads mostly like filler. Entertaining filler, but I get it already, Edward vs. Jacob. Moving on the Breaking Dawn...well, you'll surely want to finish the series, but it's a tad predictable. Ok, very predictable. Until the last 200 pages or so, then your diligence is rewarded with some cool vampire action.
