    Synopsis

On the very day an arsonist burns down Liv Endicott's bookstore in a small town in the Washington mountains, she finds fate has another shock in store for her. Amid the smoke, rubble, and tears, Sean McCloud appears, calling her name. He's every inch the man he always was—the man she kept on wanting. But wanting is not the same as trusting, and she doesn't dare let him get too close. Yet a ruthless killer is gunning for Liv, and she'll die unless they join forces to unearth a chilling truth—and come together in a blaze of searing passion. . .

"A passionate, intense story." —Romantic Times on Edge of Midnight

". . . this action-packed novel is sure to be a crowd pleaser." —Publishers Weekly on Edge of Midnight

"Super, sexy suspense!" —Cherry Adair on Hot Night

    Publishers Weekly

Wild boy Sean McCloud takes center stage in McKenna's over-the-top fourth entry in her romantic suspense series (Behind Closed Doors, etc.) featuring Sean and his brothers Davy and Connor, who specialize in security, catching villains and keeping their women very happy. Sean is still dealing with the death of his brainy twin, Kevin, one of many victims of the covert Midnight Project directed by the sadistic Dr. Christopher Osterman. When Sean's lost love, Olivia "Liv" Endicott, returns to Endicott Falls, Wash., to open a bookstore, Sean is both thrilled and terrified. And when the store is torched by Dr. O's pet assassin and Liv is almost killed by the relentless goon (whom she dubs T-Rex), Sean vows he won't lose her again. Sean swings into full-frontal heroics, battling T-Rex and working to reclaim Liv's trust. Full of the author's trademark turbocharged sex scenes, this action-packed novel is sure to be a crowd pleaser. (Aug.)

Sexy, hot. hot. & hot. Can't wait to read what she has up her sleeve with Kevin Mcloud. The stories are not only romantic and sexual, but the story lines are good and keeps you very much interested. September 22, 2009: I have enjoyed all of Shannon McKenna's books, but this one WOW! Sean and Liv sizzle and I could not put this book down. I was kind of hoping that Liv would end up blurting out she was pregnant at the end, but I liked how this one ended with yet another hot love scene. Liv should have decked her witch of a mother. I was glad that her dad at least came around and ditched the witch and stood up for her. Tam was cool as usual, and I loved her secret lair it suits her, and her wearable weapons. Cool jewlrey. Cindy prooved to be a pain in the a$$, and I'm glad Miles finaly got the girl. I wish he would have done better in the fight though. This book was just so much fun to read, and poor Liv half naked through the first half of the book. I also love how everyone is always making Tam their maid of honor it's cool. I highly recomend this series if romantic/thrillers are your forte. Loved it.

I Also Recommend: Behind Closed Doors, Standing in the Shadows, Out of Control, Extreme Danger, Ultimate Weapon.
