Alexa and Catherine were sisters and strangers. Each had always yearned for the sister she never really had, never knowing how to reach out to the other until it was almost too late. Soon the sisters must each embark on a journey of the heart before they can truly be sisters and claim the happiness waiting for them both at the end of their rainbows.

Stone's ( Roommates, Twins) hardcover debut--the story of two beautiful sisters who both rise to the top of their professions and find the men of their dreams--has many of the elements of a fairy tale, i.e., a wicked prince, a beautiful princess, a valuable necklace, and two babies given away at birth. Alexa Taylor is a wildly successful but sweetly humble actress, star of the hit series Pennsylvania Avenue . Her sister Catherine is an insecure but extraordinarily beautiful concert pianist. The plot concentrates on their relationships with the men in their lives (all of whom are rich, powerful, and handsome) and how they earn the right to their soulmates. The pacing is fast and the prose leans toward the purple (her emerald eyes speak to his sapphire ones with recurring monotony). In spite of some stilted dialog and a sense of unreality about the goodness of these characters, this is fun to read and sure to circulate well in the popular fiction collection.-- Marilyn Jordan, Keiser Coll.
