EM WATTS IS GONE.
Emerson Watts didn't even want to go to the new SoHo Stark Megastore grand opening. But someone needed to look out for her sister, Frida, whose crush, British heartthrob Gabriel Luna, would be singing and signing autographs there-along with the newly appointed Face of Stark, teen supermodel sensation Nikki Howard.
How was Em to know that disaster would strike, changing her-and life as she'd known it-forever? One bizarre accident later, and Em Watts, always the tomboy, never the party princess, is no longer herself. Literally.
Now getting her best friend, Christopher, to notice that she's actually a girl is the least of Em's problems.
But what Em's pretty sure she'll never be able to accept might just turn out to be the one thing that's going to make her dream come true . . . .
NIKKI HOWARD IS HERE TO STAY.
Cabot (the Princess Diaries series) dishes up all the story ingredients her fans have come to know and loveromance, humor, believable teen dialogue and even a fantastical twist. This last bit requires a major suspension of disbelief, but willing readers will love it. Emerson Watts, 16, likes living in New York City's SoHo neighborhood, but she can't tolerate most of the students at her private high school. She and her best friend (and secret crush), Christopher, escape their outcast status by immersing themselves in online video games. But Emerson's bland world shatters when she attends the opening of a new Stark Megastore and suffers a terrible accident. She wakes up in the hospital one month later in someone else's bodyand not just anyone else's, but that of superhot teen model Nikki Howard. Cabot's portrayal of Emerson is brilliant. She's a too-cool-for-school independent chick, but she doesn't grow annoying, because the author makes it clear her sarcasm stems from not fitting in. Once she's Nikki Howard, however, she has to rethink her positions on the social order. Pure fun, this first series installment will leave readers clamoring for the next. Ages 12up. (June)

January 25, 2010: In the Book Airhead by Meg Cabot A girl named Em Watts is a tomboy that hates people that are conceded and Worry about how they looked. But when her brain gets put into the super model Nikki Howard's Body she struggles getting use to Life as Nikki instead of Em.She also Struggles to leave her Best Friend Christopher behind and she learns that Being a Model is Much harder then she thought. She struggles with not telling people that she is Em watts which mentally messes with her. But if she tells her parents will owe 2 Million dollars which they don't have to Stark Enterprises.
I dislike that Em watts Was upset that they gave her Nikki Howard's body even though it saved her life " "But you didn't Have my Permission" I accused him."ah," MR.Phillips Said " but we had your parents' permission" ".I also got confused why Stark enterprises Were Tracking Nikki Howard's and her roommate lulu's Keystrokes "her computer-Unlike the Commander's -was totally being spied on." But i liked That she learns That Being a walking dead as she calls them isn't as easy and Dumb as it sounds"and that's when I began to realized Why Lulu had laughed at me when I'd Said modeling was easy. There was nothing easy about it.".I liked that Nikki Howard aka Em watts has to Try to become friends with Christopher. I liked this book so much that i am very happy they made another book Called "Being Nikki" its a continuation but it also leaves This book kinda hanging at the End.I also liked That she learns That Being a walking dead as she calls them isn't as easy and Dumb as it sounds.
Part of the novel takes place in the fashion world, so naturally there are plenty of labels and brands: Marc Jacobs, Vespa, Google, Doritos, Sports Illustrated, Sketchers, Victoria's Secret, etc.
A teen disguises her drink to look alcoholic when it isn't; other teens are let into a club even though they're underage. One is described as being drunk.
"Bitch," "slut," "loser," and other slightly saucy teen language is used.
A girl is injured in an accident. There's talk of what is technically alive and legally dead.
There are crushes, kisses, and a girl describes her body wanting to do more than kiss.
About Airhead (Airhead Series #1)
Parents need to know that this book covers some questionable medical procedures and discusses the question of when life actually ends. A teenager is thrust into a very adult world where there's little supervision, but plenty of money to purchase high-end goods. This is handled better than in many other teen books with a fashion focus.
Families can talk about what it would be like to live another person's life. What do you think would be easy? What would be hard? Also, what do you think of the medical procedures Emerson endures? Are they ethical?
