    Synopsis

No man had ever dared to force his attentions on stunning, fiery Samantha Kingsley — until Hank Chavez, the rough-hewn, insolvent outlaw, aroused the spirited hellion's wrath...and her passion.

Samantha vowed to slaughter the impulsive rogue...if her father didn't do it first. For there's only one thing Chavez wants more than the Kingley's sprawling Mexican homestead: to ignite in Samantha's breast...and to take the tempestuous beauty in bold, rapturous conquest.

January 03, 2010: I have read a lot of JL's books. I'll give this one a 6/10. It wasnt one of my favorites, but I still liked it. Theres alot happening in the book. I kinda didnt know what to expect next and I liked the spanish she used in it, it makes the storie sometimes interesting and funny (like in some of her other books too ;0). The characters are nice. Samantha is a little too stubborn for me, but still likeable.JL is an excellent writer and I enjoy all of her books!!!

I Also Recommend: Pirate's Love, Heart So Wild, Savage Thunder, Man of My Dreams.

January 02, 2007: Usually, I will read a few chapters into a romance and find the plot thin and the characters crap. Also, the situations are far from believable and highly corny. THIS story however... wow. I was entranced from page one. It starts with Samantha taking her revenge on a guy. She's quirky and real, beyond her times. And Hank is so... I feel bad for him, having this firey woman to deal with. Even though there's a bit of rape (well, half rape) which I usually don't go for, it adds to the story. See, Samantha gets captured by Hank and he uses her as ransom, because he's a criminal. I don't want to give it away! It's thoroughly enjoyable. It's the first of JL that I've read and others are like, 'not one of her best' and if this isn't her best then... wow. I MUST read her others.
