    Synopsis

"Responsibility" should be Nicole Keyes's middle name. After all, not many people would sacrifice their lives to run the family bakery and raise a younger sibling. But with Nicole's twin sister now blissfully married and her younger sis turning out more femme fatale than girl-next-door, super reliable Nicole is getting sick of putting everyone else's needs first!

Enter Hawk. The deliciously sexy former NFL player offers Nicole a taste of the freedom she craves. Hawk may know the way, blindfolded, to her sweet spot, but Nicole's not about to let him get close enough to break her heart. Of course, she might not have a choice in the matter if Hawk's past keeps getting in the way of their present....

    Kristin Ramsdell - Library Journal

In Sweet Spot, no-nonsense Nicole Keyes is still reeling from the shock of finding her youngest sister in bed with her husband and the resulting divorce. Then high school coach and former NFL star Eric Hawkins walks into her bakery and proceeds to turn her life-and, ultimately, his and his teenage daughter's as well-upside down. Assorted relatives, a collection of delightful, sometimes realistic teenagers, and a hero and heroine driven by lust but surprised by love take this trilogy (after Sweet Talk, Jul.) to the next level and set the scene for the final volume.

Five years earlier, wild child Jesse Keyes-pregnant and rejected-left Seattle to make something of her life. Now back to introduce her four-year-old son to his father, computer game mogul Matt Fenner, and make peace with her sister Nicole, Jesse knows she has a lot to explain and make up for in Sweet Trouble. Passions run high, and relationships sizzle on all fronts as Matt and Jesse try to sort out their feelings in this story that alternates between the present and the past, ties up a few loose threads, and brings to a close Mallery's "Bakery Sisters" trilogy. Although best read in order, each of these funny, heartwarming, supersexy reads stands on its own. Mallery lives in the Seattle area.

Same Plot - Different Sister (Spoiler Alert!)by BookChick79

November 08, 2009: With the first book in the series, Claire, the first sister, meets a guy, falls in love, sleeps with him (he forgets a condom), and she gets pregnant. In the second book in the series, Nicole, the second sister, meets a guy, falls in love, sleeps with him (he forgets a condom), and she gets pregnant. While the details and plot lines going along around them are totally different, well-written, and interesting, it was hard to read the same plot line in each book. Especially when you add to the fact that both guys run away scared, only to realize how much they love the girl (Claire in the first book and Nicole in the second) and propose to her. It felt very much like I was reading the same basic plot line just with a different sister. It was very frustrating and made me not want to read the third book in the series.
