July 30, 2001: This book is well written. The book's main characters are Prince Roland Thorton of Thortonburg and Princess Lillian Montague of Roxbury. When Roland discovers that he has a half sister that has been kidnapped he goes under cover as a stable hand named Rollie Thomas in the Montague's stables to find out if they know anything of his sister's kidnapping. Lillian, tired of the dities that come with being a princess, pretends to be Princess Lillian's maid named Lilly. She often goes to the stables because she loves horses and while there meets Rollie. They both fall in love, though both are afraid to get to invovle because they both think that each other is a commoner and are afraid what their parents' might say if they were to marry a 'commoner'. Eventually they discover who the other really is. This causes some problem because the Thortons and the Montagues are 'enemies'. Eventually it all works out well in the end.
