Trapped in a dangerous prehistoric world! It's the largest dinosaur find in history, and the Smithsonian Institute has hired archaeologist Ben Salisbury and his team to head up the archaeological dig. Knowing it will take many months, the group sets out for the Alaskan wilderness with family and friends in tow. But as they make their way through a tunnel that they believe will lead them through a mountain range, they find themselves transported into a terrifying world that resembles prehistoric Earth. This new world is a place of great peril, where each must fight to survive against not only monstrous creatures but aberrant humans who have crossed through the portal before them.

March 26, 2006: A very scientific and technical novel, almost as if it were written by an archealogist itself , is what you will find after diving into this massive read. br This book explores the inner most animal that is in man, and the struggle that man goes through to stay civilized. br It's as if Benjamin catches the spirit of our ancestors, of whom our DNA came from and pitted them against the modern day result of thousands of years of evolution. br To the weak-minded this book may seem like nothing but a perverted fantasy being lived on paper and ink, but to those who can truly open their mind, they see the truth. They see what would really happen in that situation. They see the desperation and fear manifest itself in mankind, and of all the horrible things man is capable of, but afraid to commit in a civilized world. br This gives us a glimpse at what the past was truly like. This rips off our rose-colored glasses with such force, that most can, and will not accept it as what it is. br A most interesting read from a very deviant mind. br The only thing that was lacking was certain character developement, that being a problem because sometimes the death of a character would come across as a relief (which translates to one less name to memorize). But with it's very few short comings, it's still a great read one that will appeal to both the scinetific, and the adventurous. Those with morally righteous attitudes need not apply.
