November 06, 2006: Godism reads as a guide to living. Like life itself, it is a complex weave of beliefs, issues of morality, commentary on modern life, and spirituality. Topics include everything from life purpose, mental and physical health, living your dreams, worldly achievements, the presence of natural laws, being part of your community, the value of all human beings, meditation, and countless other important life issues. Basically the overall premise of this work is to live a moral positive life to the fullest possible. Simple to say but this is often not so easy to practice in everyday life. This book is a nice gentle reminder that we need to always be aware of how we are living. Too often we get caught up in gaining material possessions or bogged down in negative thinking. Then we wonder why our lives and the world around us are so bad. We completely forget that we have a choice and that we can choose to try to make things better, follow our hearts, and live our dreams. We either add to the problem or serve as part of the solution.

The author gently leads the reader to a place within where the power to overwhelm doubt with positive vibrations for achieving dreams, replace fear and other inhibiting consciousness. This book outlines a philosophy for successful living in this rapidly changing world. Godism provides guidelines for physical and spiritual wellness, success and harmony, and makes a daring statement about poverty and wealth. S. Roystone Neverson, the author is a staunch believer that, on a level playing field, what makes one person acquire wealth while another remains in poverty is mindset. The poor person is usually imprisoned in a mindset of poverty, which is acquired through culture. Change the mindset to release that individual from his prison and he will strive to acquire wealth. The philosophy of Godism identifies avenues to successful marriage, raising success-oriented children and experiencing happiness. GODISM: DISCOVERING THE POWER TO LIVE is easy to read but it is a powerful book. It causes the reader to ask pertinent questions about many things he usually takes for granted, such as: Should love be the most important reason for getting married? Should there be a checklist for choosing a marriage partner? Academic qualifications are important, but shouldn?t schools in poor countries and in depressed areas of rich countries be teaching children about saving, investing and starting small businesses? The book emphasizes that marriage is too important to leave it to chance for it to happen, or let emotional urges influence your choice of a partner, therefore, it provides guidelines for choosing a spouse. The book explains that Godism is a philosophy of boundless love and abundant living and encourages you to believe in yourself, and causes you to know that you are the center of the universe and your vital force flows from the Universal Mind, and there is power within you which comes from the Universal Mind.
