      Synopsis

The battle for control of Earth rages on today as it has for six thousand years. Unseen powers have shielded from us the secrecy surrounding this war and the reasons for our very existence.

What would you do if you came upon a book that revealed the solution to a centuries old mystery? What if the answer was so fantastic as to be almost unbelievable? Would you have the courage to act on this information knowing that your own life would be in immediate danger?

Kenny Wagner, a bookstore owner in New Orleans faces just such a Dilemma when a stranger unexpectedly hands him 'The Crossing'

This book chronicles the history and true nature of the inhabitants of the so-called 'Planet X' and their ever-present covert relationship to the human race on earth.

'MISSING - Kidnapping the Image of God', captures the reader's forgotten memories, creating an inseparable link to Wagner as he is thrust into a mysterious journey that spans and intersects both space and time.

Coming full circle, the journey leads to a startling conclusion...Is the year 2012 the end of humanity, or mankind's new beginning.

As I read I felt I was part of the story and it captivated me.......by DianaA

September 09, 2009: We have all had questions and speculated about the first humans who inhabited the Earth, and probably also wondered about other intelligent living beings on other planets. We couldn't be the only ones right?

And we have all had conflicts, torn between a Supreme being 'God', and an evil being 'Lucifer', or simply 'good vs evil'. And most of us have felt that we were someone else in another life or re-incarnated at some time or another. Ever hear the saying 'The Devil made me do it'? or 'My Guardian Angel is watching over me'?

Many questions and answers about the mystery of it all is superbly captured by authors Barry M. Carlos and Jeffrey Allen Micheli in their book 'Missing', Kidnapping the Image of God. They give a divergent perspective on the Theories about the origin of Man, God and the Devil.

One easily can get absorbed and captivated by the characters. And I can relate to that by the dreams I've had after an evening of reading.

It is remarkable that after thousands and thousands of years the good and the evil exist today. "They" are all around us!

I love mysteries and the title 'Missing' Kidnapping the Image of God attracted my attention and 'Missing' did not disappoint!

August 02, 2009: "Step aside Mr. Dan Brown and your hugely successful literary contribution, "The Da Vinci Code". Now, it's time for Barry M. Carlos and Jeffrey A. Michelli to take over the spotlight with their surprisingly spell-binding saga, "MISSING - The Kidnapping of God". Cleverly teaming imaginative mythological inventiveness with creative theology, the Mister's, Carlos and Michelli, weave an enchanting tale of right and wrong, good and evil, guilt and innocence and life and death, leaving the reader (long after he turns the last page), philosophically pondering the resultant effect of fanciful words put to paper. Needless to say, it was gratifying to learn, there is a sequel planned. Barbara Lawrence, Author & Columnist
