July 11, 2008: Nick's life is described with such intensity that any reader will be captivated as they journey with him through a world that most people could never imagine. His story takes the reader through a world of poverty as a young child, abuse by drunken father, gang temptations as a teenager, hardship and tragedy as a young man, war, love, and finally the respect and honor of the townspeople of the town where he once had a bad reputation.
