      Synopsis

Texas oil tycoon Billy Braddock is the man who has almost everything-wealth, power, fame, glory . . . even a town in West Texas named after his family. As a reformed sinner turned preacher, Braddock has devoted the latter years of his life to preaching the gospel and doing good works. Almost everyone who knows him would say that Reverend Braddock has earned himself a first-class ticket to the Pearly Gates. But there is one thing that Billy Braddock doesn't have: Time. He has very little time left to live on this earthly plane-perhaps only hours. Knowing that he is dying, Braddock acts out in desperation, making himself a guinea-pig for an experimental serum that has shown some ability to reverse the effects of the aging process in the animals on which it has been tested. To his amazement, the serum works beyond his wildest hopes and expectations. And thereby hangs the tale: Braddock's miraculous transformation takes him on a wild adventure of self-discovery across the Lone Star State, where he eventually finds himself standing alone before the Altar of Truth, looking at his own reflection, and seeing his life in a way he has never done before . . .
