      Synopsis

The True Story of The Original Tabloid Blonde!

Before Anna Nicole, Before Pam Anderson, there was Jayne Mansfield. The original working mom with severe determination and drive. The original Playboy centerfold, the first huge Hollywood star to appear nude in a film. Marriage, Divorces, Five Children, Success and Dissapointment, the Story of Jayne Mansfield's life has it all, and I'm happy to tell the true story of TV Star Mariska Hargitay's mothers life!

January 23, 2010: ...GRAMMAR! I read Diamonds to Dust with love--likely the same kind of love the Author shows in writing this book. I was prepared to love it, and in fact I did. But the grammatical and style errors take some of the shine away from the quality of the narrative itself. And for this reader at least, detracted from the reading experience of an otherwise wonderful book. Was the spell-check working? Was there a proof reader or an editor involved? I have to wonder. The Author tells the story of Jayne Mansfield's life with a casual, engaging, and conversational style. The photos are intimate, and there are many I've never seen before. The photos are, however, small, muddy, and dark. Some are hard to make out. I wish the photos had been more carefully tended before publication. Color and black-and-white mix would be nice, too. All this whining notwithstanding, don't hesitate to buy this book. Diamonds to Dust is a gotta-have for Mansfield fans, and I'm one of 'em! Just fire your computer, Mr. Ferrucchio, and hire an Editor. Meanwhile, I look forward to reading your next book, and I'm very glad that you wrote this one.
