April 22, 2009: This is an awesome book written by a great cook that knows how to teach. These recipes are well written, tried and delicious. It is full of a variety of recipes and notes on how and what to prepare now and what to prep and bake later. I've been cooking for 35 years and I marvel at how many great tips I have learned from this book. While some of the recipes are true favorites that I've seen before there are pages and pages of new helpful recipes and ideas for making your cooking life easier without compromising the flavor. By the way you can make these recipes for guests(even before testing them) ...she has already tested them out and they come out perfect! Foodies rejoice!

August 30, 2008: I found the book at the library. And after testing a few recipes, I decided to purchase my own copy. This book provides a variety of recipes perfect for using during a cook-ahead weekend to prep easy work week meals that are flavorful. Great for a busy family eager to save money but not lack distinctive mealtimes.
