April 05, 2002: I love this book! I've just read it for the third time, and I still couldn't put it down. Mick is the best male character I've read about in years. He's hilarious and sexy. Winnie was ok; she wasn't as confident as I like in female characters, but I still liked her. This was one of the best books I've ever read and I recommend it to everyone.

September 26, 2000: This is the first time i have read one of Ivory's books and I was enveloped in witty writing and a wonderful story. I fell in love with Mich and his chartacter. The only thing that angered me was the development of Winne. Everything else in the book was wonderful. This is a must read!
