It is a truth universally acknowledged that Lady Catherine will never find a husband for Anne...
More Reviews and RecommendationsJudith Brocklehurst was brought up in England, and it was on visits to the magnificent scenery of Derbyshire that her passion for Jane Austen developed. After emigrating to Canada with her husband and two young daughters, she worked as a teacher, newspaper reporter and columnist. Writing Jane Austen sequels was her greatest pleasure.

November 11, 2009: Intent on reading every sequel written to Pride and Prejudice, I was surprisingly pleased with this book. The character of Anne De Bourgh was expounded on, staying true (somewhat) to Jane Austen's original characterization. The book had some truly funny parts, with all the familiar characters from Pride and Prejudice remaining true to Austen's original. Darcy and Elizabeth are in the book, but the focus is on Anne and her plight of being the daughter of Lady Catherine, her triumph in finding her way, and discovering along the path her own strength. An enjoyable and entertaining read.
I Also Recommend: Darcy's Story, More Letters from Pemberley, Letters from Pemberley, The Other Mr. Darcy, Mr. Darcy Presents His Bride.
