An update from the 1996 first edition of the reference to generally accepted knowledge in the profession of project management. Among the changes are more emphasis on progressive elaboration, an acknowledgement of the role of the project office, and the expansion of the treatment of earned value management. November 21, 2009: I suggest you study some other book on Project Management first (I used Rita Mulcahey's PMP Exam Prep), as this book would be impossible to comprehend without prior understanding of the subject. Then read this book a couple of times. You will do much better on the PMP if you do.

Use this for any Projectby JaxsonJohn

November 18, 2009: I found this to be cheaper than the PMI site and the book is very resourceful. Well worth the sale price (free shipping too) of $38.57 and serves as a resourceful tool for projects.

Whether you are engaged in domestic or international tasks, I encourage you to use this book as a reference guide from womb to tomb of your projects.

Best Luck,
