      Synopsis

This book is about Poetry. Many different kinds of fables, short stories about life experiences, laughter, drama, murder, children, humor, love, inspirational, and some urban styles of poetry. Some of the poems might make you laugh or make you stop and think, saying (that has happened to me or I been there). Some are sad and might make you cry. Feeling what the author's want you to feel. (Makes you show the human side of you.)

The poems selected for this book were carefully reviewed and chosen by a committee of professionals, family members and longtime friends of the author. "I Have a Reason to Smile" is the author's first book of poetry and as the title poem, won Ms. Smith a Poet Merit for Outstanding Achievement Award, a Bronze Medallion Award, and a Poet of Merit Award from the International Society of Poets. She has also received semi-finalist status with Poetry.com.
