Aislinn Hennessy's love life was almost laughable, with a trail of disastrous relationships to show for it. She long ago gave up thinking a knight in shining armor was going to sweep her off her feet, but then she never expected to run him off the road either. Sir Dougray Fitzpatrick, Lord of Dunhaven already buried one wife and had no wish for another, but it was foreseen that he would go to the future to seek a vision, a crucial venture to secure his future born. Only he hadn't bargained on it being a woman that would insist on battling against him at every turn. Dougray finds that Aislinn is fearless in the face of an enemy, but shies away from what her heart holds true. Aislinn discovers that Dougray is honest and brave to a fault. He would die for her if necessary. They were thrown together by a twist of fate, a magical mist that sends them back to sixteenth century Ireland where conspiracies, feuds and unexpected violence are commonplace threats, but along the way, they discover a few surprises that neither one expects: a chance for love even when they're Lost in the Mist of Time.
"Lost In The Mist of Time is a story that spins with much creativity. The characters, strong in their actions and emotions, never knew that crossing time would bring a togetherness that would last through the years. The well-rounded secondary characters blend in to make the read even more dazzling in Aislinn and Dougray’s search. It is a tale of loss and conquering that allows the reader to feel part of the time travel while feuds, hatred and heartbreak increasingly grow around them. Karen Michelle Nutt takes the reader to 16th century Ireland with luscious landscape and men who defend their country at any costs. She paints her characters with emotions that reach deep in a land that is not always full of happiness. Whether retrieving a sword for duty or protection, she fashions men that are willing to forbear and take on any task, and the strong, yet tender women who stand behind them. She pens a time where chivalry lives on and love triumphs."

July 22, 2007: Aislinn Hennessy is a fiercely independent modern woman with a questionable taste in men. No man in her world lived up to the men she envisioned in her highly successful romance novels. Sir Dougray Fitzpatrick, a handsome Lord in sixteenth century Ireland, has no desire to replace the wife he buried. But he is haunted by a seer?s prediction that he will visit the future to seek a vision that will determine his future born. When Aislinn visits modern day Ireland with her parents, she encounters a man who seems lost and confused. When he remembers his name and purpose, Dougray attempts to return to his own time by entering a magical mist. Aislinn follows and finds herself stuck in old Ireland, where violence is common and women are expected to be submissive to men. Deeply attracted but fighting each other at every turn, they dance around a relationship, experiencing emotions of admiration, anger, frustration, and fear. Will they discover a chance for everlasting love? The author has created a world of myth, romance, and family secrets, historically set in sixteenth century Ireland. The characters are believable and the description of castle life is delightful. ?Lost in the Mist of Time? is a must read for those interested in historical romance with a touch of the paranormal.

April 11, 2007: Lost in the Mist of Time by author Karen Michelle Nutt, is an intriguing story based in Ireland during the sixteenth century. Fiction is hard to write, but to write a book that is based on historical facts and then make those facts entertaining is quite challenging. Once you start to read this book you will not be able to put it down, as the characters come alive on the pages. This book is filed with love, danger, fear and courage as well as strong characters and vivid descriptions of Castles in the years gone by. Lost in the Mist of Time is an entertaining book and truly one of the best books that I have read in many years. This book will become a valued addition to any personal library and will be one that you will want to share with others. Tom Ward, author The Enemy Within Outposts of Hell or Portals to Heaven
