This book is likened to an abstract work of art. It's rich with colors and makeup of various entities that define something for others, as well as the artist. Thus, the book, Abstract, is a kaleidoscopic array of poetry that spans the emotions that concern humanity, sadness, love and loss, happiness, romance, change and growth, to being intrepid. Life is a journey that can be viewed as abstract. In essence, this book was created to entertain, inspire, motivate and impact.

April 30, 2005: Pier Tyler?s Abstract, is a kaleidoscope collection as promised. From Surprised and it?s `surprise? ending to Question, which made me catch my breath, to Awe, which is awesomely perfect, Pier has managed to create the kaleidoscope with her words. Poetry lovers every where will all have something different that they take from this collection of heart-felt, thought-provoking, adventurous reading. Pier has given readers more to think about than they realize, until they read it. An excellent collection of poetry genius! Terri Ann Armstrong, Author of My Soul Has Spoken.

April 20, 2005: I read a lot of books, many by first time authors. I was very disappointed at this particular book. Many of the lines of poetry were overused expressions that can be heard on any pop song or read in any mass market novel. There is nothing new or inspiring in this book. It has to be one of the worst books that I have ever read.
